Natasa Kontouli
Natasa Kontouli was born in Athens. She graduated in 2003 with a Master’s degree in Painting by the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, under Professor Teofan Sokerov. She also holds a postgraduate degree from the Hellenic Open University in “Art – Cultural Heritage – Development Policies”. She has worked in set and costume design, with her work presented at the Municipal Theatres of Ioannina and Agrinio, as well as various stages in Athens and Naxos. For over 18 years, she taught freehand and technical drawing in secondary education. She has also taught artistic jewelry design for the Municipality of Nea Filadelfeia–Nea Chalkidona and in cultural associations. She has illustrated children’s books and, since 2003, has participated in numerous group exhibitions of visual and applied arts. Since 2024, she lives and paints permanently in Naxos, where she founded Art Ark Gallery —a space that showcases and hosts leading contemporary Greek artists alongside her own studio.
