Exhibition "July, but not summer" (16-30 July 2025)

The visual artists Eva Mela, Ourania Volonaki, and Natasa Kontouli meet at ART ARK GALLERY in the Castle of Naxos. Their exhibition, titled “July, but Not Summer,” spotlights the little and the much, the familiar and the unknown that has nonetheless become habit. In the heart of summer, winter lives somewhere within us—if only we look around with free eyes. An open dialogue with the viewer is the aim: we all perceive what happens around us. We do not always wish to point it out—merely to suggest that it exists. Fallen leaves, the gaze of a refugee, the toil of the fisherman—all coexist and awaken us.

Exhibition "Travelling..." (1-15 August 2025)

Two visual artists, Martha Koritsoglou and Kallia Papatheodorou, converse at Art Ark Gallery in the Castle of Naxos. Through their works they journey and share experiences, memories, emotions... Against the backdrop of Aegean blue and Naxos’s radiant light, Kallia Papatheodorou explores the historic paths of her encaustic technique to timelessly reveal the fragments of people and the means they use to find their refuge. Martha Koritsoglou, with the serene transparency of watercolor, seeks open, luminous horizons—through the ceaseless movement of the sea, a child’s gaze, and the free flight of birds. On this voyage, both artists search for the truths of those who live here, are native to these lands, or migrate in search of their own place, their own sky—like birds seeking a safe haven.
