Dimitris Varsos
Dimitris Varsos was born in Taxiarchis Trichonidas, in Aetolia-Acarnania in 1957 but grew up in Athens. He initially studied at the University of Athens (Physics graduate of the Physics & Mathematics Department). At the same time he also studied painting at an open studio taught by the late Th. Pantos and was a member of the artists’ group SYN until 1995. He continued his studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) in the sculpture studio of Th. Panourgias and graduated in 2000. From 2002 until 2008 he worked as a woodcarving teacher at the ASFA wood studio. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the Greek Sculptors’ Association.
